Jenny Braved the Shave for MacMillan Cancer Support
On 14th July, Jenny from our Esso forecourt team Braved the Shave for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Seated out on the forecourt in front of the shop Tracy, one of her colleagues, did the honours and shaved off all her lovely long blonde hair.
Her locks of hair were sent to the Little Princess Trust who make little wigs for children and £1394.20 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
We asked Jenny a few questions:-
Why did she do it?
In her own words, Jenny says “I just needed a good haircut and when I saw ‘Brave the Shave’ advertised I thought, why not do it for a good cause! I have 2 granddaughters, so felt it appropriate to also donate my locks of hair to the Little Princess Trust who make little wigs for children”.
Any Regrets?
“No regrets, once I had committed, I couldn’t wait to have my head shaved and I’m so glad I did it, it feels great!”
Will you be growing it back?
“Definitely not, I will be keeping it short now”
We’ll leave you with Jenny’s passing comment – “IT BRINGS A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO WASH & GO”
This experience has made Jenny more outgoing and confident as a person – lots of people have come into the shop, recognised her out, made very kind comments and generously donated.
A Massive “Thank you to you all” for supporting Jenny from our Esso Forecourt Team at the Abbeygate Group.
